JAGUAR LAND ROVER WINS 2 2011 MOTORIST CHOICE AWARDS!

• Land Rover LR4 and All-New Jaguar XJ Win Prestigious Automotive Accolades

MAHWAH, N.J., September 28, 2011 – Jaguar Land Rover collected two 2011 Motorist Choice Awards awarded by notable automotive industry research companies, IntelliChoice and AutoPacific. The Land Rover LR4 was the 2011 Motorist Choice winner in the Active Lifestyle category, and the all-new Jaguar XJ was the 2011 Motorist Choice winner in the Luxury Lifestyle category.

"Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles continue to win honors for being both highly desirable and delivering great ownership experience and quality," said Andy Goss, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. "The 2011 Jaguar XJ has set the benchmark in its category for both design and technology, and the LR4 is an iconic vehicle renowned for its capability and luxury detail."

Celebrated for its breadth of capability and luxurious interior, the Land Rover LR4 is one of the most versatile SUVs available and is heralded for its functionality, design and drivability. The Land Rover LR4 is powered by a 375-hp V8 and has seven-passenger seating.

The all-new Jaguar XJ is the company’s flagship luxury sedan and is renowned for its dramatic design and spectacular interior. The Jaguar XJ benefits from its lightweight aluminium body that lowers weight for improved performance and fuel efficiency.

Now in its sixth year, the Motorist Choice Awards are designed to recognize those vehicles that deliver the compelling combination of high consumer satisfaction and lower-than-expected ownership costs over time. This year, IntelliChoice and AutoPacific continued categorizing the winners into a collection of 15 popular lifestyle segments that shoppers could easily identify with, including “Active Lifestyle”, “Cosmopolitan”, “Head Turner” and “People Mover.” The category winners covered two market segments – Popular and Premium. Both reflect the purpose and perception of the consumer and illustrate the results of practical analysis, like total cost of ownership, fuel economy and resale value.
